I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky
The challenge this week was to “Share a photograph inspired by a favorite poem, verse, story, or song lyric.” Slightly ironic, since I had posted a poem only last week and I’m not really into poems very much. At all. However, I do love “I must go down to the seas again” by John Masefield. Maybe it’s growing up in Hamburg and constantly seeing ships coming and going, traversing the seas. Whatever it might be, I love the sea and am always drawn to it. I chose this particular photo because it was taken at dusk and fits with the “half-light” theme as well.

I WANDERED lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

This should not be a July photo! Ocotber maybe, getting in the mood for colder, darker nights. But it was July. July 2015 in Ireland. Stunningly beautiful place, lots of special times. But the weather… oh my! So this is me, trying to get into an autumnal state if mind and so be ok with the weather…
