Ain’t Mine No More

I’m not normally a big fan of Neil Diamond but this song really captures where I’m at just now:

“Well, I’m New York City born and raised

But nowadays, I’m lost between two shores

LA’s fine, but it ain’t home

New York’s home but it ain’t mine no more”

Having spent the last 14 years living outside my home culture and absolutely loving it, I’m now at a point of trying to figure out how the different strands in my life make a whole, of how all the colourful fragments come together to form a beautiful mosaic.

  1. Hi Bayta

and your English is so so good; I knew it was before, but now that I’m living in Germany I realise that being fluent in another language is so hard to achieve – but you have done it! I shall follow this with interest…
